We have coin-laundry facilities on site, free use of gas B.B.Q. with each unit, fire pits, picnic tables and ample parking among mature shade trees. Furthermore, an in ground swimming pool, sandy shallow beach, children's playground, Horseshoe pits, volleyball, badminton, 11 acres of nature trails and pond. Dock and water launch access, Fish freezing and screened fish cleaning station. The cottages are located in the village of Harwood. A bait shop and general store is walking distance to the cottages as well as a newly renovated family restaurant. These cottages are 15 minutes drive from Cobourg. Their is a paddle boat & brand new canoe incl. in the rental.
Rice Lake is 23 miles long, has 21 islands and is famous for its outstanding fishing - muskie, large and small mouth bass, walleye or pickerel. Local attractions include a nearby petting zoo, fish sanctuary, slot machines at Kawartha Downs, Lang Pioneer Village, The World's highest Liftlock, Serpent Mounds, Alderville Indian Reserve, and nearby golf courses. The Festival of Lights can be seen twice a week in Peterborough. |
